This Father's Day our designers celebrated the fathers in their lives with ties—but nothing boring, of course! At Knotty Tie Co. we always like to see something unique go out to special people that we—and you—care about. We have some unique designs created by our design team to show the sort of ties their loved ones love.
Wanting to capture a important part of her dad's life, designer Allison designed her father a tie with their dog who passed away recently. Coco was one of many boxers her father has owned but certainly one of his favorites.
Designer Christiana created ties for her father, grandpa, and significant other's father. Her father loves skiing, finding great joy in skiing Freefall Glade, his favorite slope at Copper Mountain. Christiana wanted to capture the glade on a tie for her father, so she created two designs: one with the actually scenery and another with the imagery from the slope's sign. She couldn't pick between the two, so her dad received two ties this Father's Day. For her grandpa, Christiana created a design incorporating rams because they are his favorite animals. The final tie she designed for the holiday was for her boyfriend's father, who flies his own plane to travel. Starting with a hand drawing, Christiana worked to capture his plane exactly, populating the background with cirrus clouds and the tie’s tip with the Rocky Mountains the pilot and his plane often soar over.
Designer Dayna decided this Father's day that she wanted her father to choose from all of the designs she has made. His favorite was her Aspen Grove design.
Designer Laurel strived to capture her dad's interests in his tie. She created several designs for him but ultimately chose the one focused around tennis. When talking about why she chose this design, she said, "Ever since I was a child, my dad talks predominantly about one thing - Tennis. If I was ever to create a custom tie for him, it would be foolish to not include at least one tennis racket in the design."While Father's Day has passed this year, it is not too early to start thinking about the perfect idea for next Father's Day. Or if you missed the day, it's never too late to give your dad a tie showing your appreciation for everything he does.
