Our custom milled necktie fabric is specially designed to have the ideal weight, feel, appearance and texture while being made from recycled post consumer plastics. Trust us, this is no basic shiny 1970s polyester, high-priced woven silk tie that’s easy to damage, or a cotton tie that wrinkles constantly or feels stiff from printing. We've built our woven recycled twill to have minimal sheen so that it looks silk-like but is decisively modern. It's weight and quality interlining give an optimal body so that the tie isn't overly flimsy or cheap feeling. Unlike knit ties, the fabric's woven structure on the bias ensures the tie will wear evenly through repeated tying and untying and you can even lightly iron in the rare event you needed to, which you can't do to silk without potentially ruining it.

Our incredible width options are available on every tie we sell so you can have the perfect fit and style for a wedding. The vast majority of customers choose our namesake width, knotty width which is approx. 2.75" wide at the tip because it is modern but not too skinny. It works well with most shirts sold today that have more modern lapels. If you want to go narrower, choose the skinny width which is approx. 2.25" wide. You'll look fresh and lean in the skinny and just need to pair it with a slender fit shirt for it to have a vibe. And for the traditionalists amongst us or those with bigger builds, we still offer a classic width option that offers a fuller body and ties into slightly bulkier knots while pairing perfectly with more traditional shirts and jackets that have wider lapels.

A great benefit to our made to order offering is that if you need wider ties for fathers, a skinny tie for reception, or modern ties for the groomsmen, you can easily do whatever size you need for each person. When in doubt about sizes, you can always have the groom or groomsmen measure their favorite tie across the tip to guide your decision. We don't change the pattern scale from width to width so if you want more or less pattern to develop across the tie, you can also achieve that desire with a skinnier or wider tie.

Some tie shops regrettably claim you can substantially lengthen their ties to meet the needs of very tall customers simply by tying a different knot. While there is an element of truth to that technique, there is no need to risk tall tie wearers falling short and looking imbalanced. Other tie shops do this because they stock limited inventory or don't want to carry ties for tall guys.

We know that wedding parties and groomsmen can be vastly different in size, so we take a different approach, building ties to order so that everyone can order the right length needed. While our standard length measuring approx. 58" long accommodates the needs of the majority of folks with a more typical build and height up to 6' tall, there is also a short length option that is great for youth, shorter adults, or others who may wear pants at the waistline and have a shorter torso. It can also work well in a casual look where the tie may be untied or loosened down a few buttons. The long and extra-long lengths are here if you need them, not just for taller folks, but also for wider necks and for those who prefer more elaborate knots that require extra length.

If you’re unsure which length is right for you, or you’re ordering for someone else, a tried-and-true tactic is to measure their current favorite tie as a reference.
